    Home to the reknowned "Restaurant Row" on Randolph West Loop contains some of the best restaurants in Chicago and beyond.


    With such a wide variety of culinary experiences available, from casual family-style to immersive dining experiences with multiple courses, from laid back to upscale, from breweries to high-end cocktails, West Loop has something for everyone.  


    Acclaimed spots like Girl and the Goat and avec offer small shared plates from some of the best-known chefs in Chicago. Monteverde chef Sarah Gureneberg earned the James Beard Award for best chef in Great Lakes for her incredible Italian eatery featuring an in-house pastificio and pasta-forward menu. Alla Vita offers wood-fired pizzas, indulgent chicken parm, and fine Italian cocktails. 


    Can't decide between casual or fancy? Check out Smyth and the Loyalist, offering two very distinct experiences in one place: an over-the-top tasting menu experience with 3 Michelin stars upstairs at Smyth or a more casual bar atmosphere downstairs, with a menu offering one of the best burgers in the city and classic cocktails to boot. Formento's offer delicious Italian-American favorites with both indoor and outdoor seating, while Nonna's (connected just around the corner) offers some of the best sandwiches in the city!


    Hogsalt - one of the best restaurant groups in the city and beyond - features several spots in West Loop, including the infamous Au Cheval - a burger experience like no other, Green Street Smoked Meats - a casual barbeque eatery, High Five Ramen - serving some of the best ramen bowls in the city, and one of its more recent adds is Lena Brava which offers a unique representation of Mexican Cuisine.

    West Loop is home to some of the best dining and bar experiences in the city, but it is also full of entertainment options! 


    For live entertainment, the United Center is a major hub, hosting Chicago Bulls (NBA) and Chicago Blackhawks (NHL) games, as well as big concerts and events like shows from top musicians and traveling Broadway productions. If you're more into the arts, you can explore Art Galleries around the West Loop or street fests during the summer offering works from local and national artists. Looking to spend some time outdoors? West Loop features some amazing green spaces, including 

    • Mart Bartelme Park - a popular spot for families with its splash pad, playground, and dog park,
    • Skinner Park - great for tennis players and those who want some open space
    • Union Park - a larger green space with sports fields, walking paths, and home to many summer festivals and outdoor performances
    • Chicago River Walk - a 1.25 mile-long trail along the Chicago River, allowing walkers to take in some of the city's most stunning architecture or relax at one of the many food stops or seating areas along the way.

Easy walkability throughout the neighborhood and to other nearby neighborhoods, including the Loop and Fulton Market. For more scenic views, take the Chicago Riverwalk along the river.

The West Loop houses Ogilvie and Union Station - the major hubs for the Metra, as well as multiple CTA stops throughout, including Clinton Station (Blue Line) and Morgan Station (Green Line).
