North Center was settled in the latter part of the 19th and early 20th century, mainly by Germans who worked in what is known as the industrial corridor along Ravenswood Avenue. Not it is home to neighborhood favorites such as Pete’s Pizza, Waveland Bowl, Revere Park, and Trader Joe’s. Little Italy, also called University Village, is a neighborhood on the Near West Side of Chicago.
